Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead): This annual celebration brings together local and regional talents celebrating the visual and performing arts related to a major Mexican cultural event. Established to foster an appreciation and awareness of Latino Cultural Celebration, Dia de los Muertos offers free family-friendly programming to North County residents of Latino heritage while uniting people of all backgrounds and traditions. Visitors experience a variety of art-making workshops, artist demonstrations, student exhibitions, live Mariachi and other musical performances while having an opportunity to actively participate in a “Community Ofrenda,” a public recognition of family and friends.

OUTDOOR FESTIVITIES

Outdoor festivities include a low rider car show by the Callejeros de Encinitas Car Club, artist demonstrations, vendors, . Face painting contest rules and waiver are available at https://www.encinitasarts.org/calendar/.

COMMUNITY OFRENDA

Community Ofrenda – a remembrance altar, will be on display indoors. All are invited to honor the memory of a loved one or friend by contributing a photograph or non-valuable remembrance to the Ofrenda.
